For internationally trained (non-CODA) candidates the 2026 sequence is: obtain a free DENTPIN, have ECE confirm the degree — the $110 U.S. General Report suffices for exam eligibility, and graduates do not file the Certification of Eligibility Form, which applies only to current students — then apply ($890 exam fee + $435 processing fee = $1,325 per attempt) and sit the exam at a Prometric center in the U.S., its territories, or Canada; it is offered nowhere else. A passing INBDE then feeds program-specific ADEA CAAPID advanced-standing applications ($264 first program, $115 each additional) and state licensure requirements.
