The answer first
Where you can sit the INBDE (and why that is not India)
There are no INBDE exam centers in India. Not in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, or anywhere else — and none in Dubai or any other country outside North America. The controlling source is JCNDE, the ADA agency that owns the examination, and its language is unambiguous:
- JCNDE's INBDE page: the exam is "Offered at Prometric Test Centers in the U.S. and its territories and Canada."
- The 2026 INBDE Candidate Guide (updated 08/04/2026), p. 2: "This examination is administered by Prometric… in the United States and Canada."
Three consequences follow directly from that:
- There is no remote or online option. The INBDE is delivered only in person at Prometric centers, so a testing trip is part of every Indian candidate's plan and budget.
- One trip covers both exam days. The INBDE runs over two days, and Day 2 must occur within 7 days of Day 1, at the same test center — miss that window and you retest at your own expense. Book both days as a pair before booking flights.
- Even within North America, check the map. The exam is no longer offered in the province of Quebec, Canada, per JCNDE's own FAQ — so a Canada plan means a center outside Quebec.
If a forum thread, agency, or coaching site tells you there is an INBDE centre in India or a Middle East hub, it is wrong or describing a different examination. JCNDE's page and the current Candidate Guide are the only authorities on where this exam is delivered, and both are linked in the sources below.
One naming note for anyone arriving from a general search: INBDE is the full form of nothing exotic — it stands for the Integrated National Board Dental Examination, the single exam that replaced NBDE Part I and Part II. Advice organized around "Part 1" and "Part 2" predates 2020 and is obsolete.
