For dental license renewal in Florida, dentists need 30 hours / 2 years (biennium) and dental hygienists need 24 hours / 2 years (biennium). Dental assistants: No CE requirement — Florida does not license or register dental assistants generally, and no CE is required (radiography/expanded-function certificates are training-based, not CE-hour based). 2-year biennium; licenses expire February 28 of even-numbered years.
