## Frequently asked questions

### What is included?

You can read lessons, use review sheets and work through original practice questions. Each answer explanation includes the rationale, reasons the other options do not fit, and source references. The course inventory shown above reflects the material available in this product. Choose a topic to study, then use your practice review to decide what to revisit.

### Can I return to my work?

Yes. Choose an answer and use Save answer to store it. You can flag a question and resume a saved practice session. The interface confirms successful saves and shows an error if a save fails. A choice you have selected but have not saved is still a draft. Keep the save confirmation in view before leaving.

### Is this an official exam or a certification?

This is independent educational preparation. Purchasing or completing this course does not register you for an exam-board examination, establish examination eligibility or award exam-board certification. Check the exam board’s official information for the requirements that apply to you. Practice results describe your work on these questions; they do not predict an official score or guarantee a passing result.

### How do price and access work?

The price and access terms displayed above come from the current course offer. Read those terms and the linked checkout information before purchasing. Examination registration with the exam board and its fees are separate. Course preparation does not replace your responsibility to check the exam board’s current examination requirements, application information and policies for the examination you intend to take.

## Try one question

A dental assistant has just removed examination gloves. What should happen before a new pair is put on for the next patient?

A. Hand hygiene only if there is visible blood
B. A new pair of gloves is enough on its own
C. Hand hygiene before the next pair of gloves
D. Cleaning the used gloves before putting them back on

Best answer: C. Hand hygiene is indicated after removing gloves and before putting on the next pair. Gloves can have small defects, and hands can become contaminated during removal.

A: The hand-hygiene indication follows glove removal; it is not conditional only on seeing blood.

B: A new pair of gloves does not replace the hand hygiene indicated before donning them.

D: CDC advises against washing, disinfecting or sterilizing patient examination gloves for reuse.

Gloves do not replace hand hygiene.
