## Frequently asked questions

### What is included?

You can read lessons, use review sheets and work through original practice questions. Each answer explanation includes the rationale, reasons the other options do not fit, and source references. The course inventory shown above reflects the material available in this product. Choose a topic to study, then use your practice review to decide what to revisit.

### Can I return to my work?

Yes. Choose an answer and use Save answer to store it. You can flag a question and resume a saved practice session. The interface confirms successful saves and shows an error if a save fails. A choice you have selected but have not saved is still a draft. Keep the save confirmation in view before leaving.

### Is this an official exam or a certification?

This is independent educational preparation. Purchasing or completing this course does not register you for an exam-board examination, establish examination eligibility or award exam-board certification. Check the exam board’s official information for the requirements that apply to you. Practice results describe your work on these questions; they do not predict an official score or guarantee a passing result.

### How do price and access work?

The price and access terms displayed above come from the current course offer. Read those terms and the linked checkout information before purchasing. Examination registration with the exam board and its fees are separate. Course preparation does not replace your responsibility to check the exam board’s current examination requirements, application information and policies for the examination you intend to take.

## Try one question

A sterilizer's display reports the expected time and temperature. Which additional check uses resistant microorganisms to assess the sterilization process?

A. A biological indicator (spore test)
B. A timer reading recorded in the cycle log
C. A color change on external process tape
D. The printed expiration date on a package

Best answer: A. Biological indicators use resistant spores to assess the sterilization process directly. Time and temperature readings are mechanical checks; chemical tape changes do not directly measure microbial killing.

B: A cycle-log timer is mechanical monitoring. It records physical conditions rather than directly testing resistant microorganisms.

C: External process tape is a chemical indicator. Its color change is not the biological test described.

D: A package expiration date is labeling information, not a test of microorganism inactivation during the cycle.

An acceptable mechanical reading or a changed chemical indicator is different from a biological-indicator result; none is presented as a lone guarantee for every item.
