# INBDE Prep for International Dentists

Dentovio's INBDE product line is designed around the preparation needs of internationally trained dentists: longer study runways, the official 10 Foundation Knowledge areas, and deliberate practice with the Patient Box case format.

## Official exam structure

- 500 items over two days.
- Day 1: 300 standalone items and 60 case items.
- Day 2: 140 case items.
- The INBDE is accepted in all U.S. licensing jurisdictions as all or part of the written-examination requirement; each board sets its remaining requirements.
- The 2026 fee is $890. Candidates from non-CODA-accredited programs pay an additional $435 processing fee.

## Current cohort data

JCNDE's 2025 Technical Report uses the labels **CODA-accredited** and **Non-accredited**. In 2025, the non-accredited cohort represented 4,815 of 12,239 candidate administrations (39.3%). Its failure rate was 34.9% on first attempts and 50.5% on retakes. The cohort includes many internationally trained candidates, but it is not a nationality count.
